The Gujarat High Court is the High Court of the state of Gujarat. It was established on 1 May 1960 under the Bombay Re-organisation Act, 1960 after the state split from Bombay State. The seat of the court is Ahmedabad. The present strength of Gujarat High court is 35 against sanctioned strength of 42.

Educational Qualifications :

Candidates who are interested and want to apply for this so the Education qualification for the following Posts is that a Candidate should have completed a bachelor degree from a well known recognized University incorporated by the Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or an Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 for both English Stenographer Grade-I and Grade-II as well as Gujarati Stenographer Grade-I and Grade-II posts plus 120 words/min speed in English shorthand for English Stenographer Grade-I and 100 words/min speed in English Shorthand for English Stenographer Grade-II and 90 words/min speed in English shorthand for Gujarati Stenographer for grade-I,75 words/min speed in English shorthand for Gujarati Stenographer for grade-II and should have a good knowledge of Computer Operation, Sufficient knowledge of English, Gujarati & Hindi Language

Application Fee :

Application fee for the given post are shown as follows on the basis of their Categories:

  • Candidate belonging to General/OBC(or say Unreserved category) Category has to pay fee of   500/-
  • Candidate belonging to Other Category (ST(Scheduled Tribes)/SC(Scheduled Caste), Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, Differently Abled Persons and Ex-Servicemen has to pay a fee of Rs.250/-

Candidates are kindly informed either they can pay an Application fee through any  State Bank of India Core banking service branch, using the Special Format of ‘CASH VOUCHER’ from the starting date of an application fee i.e from 01/10/2016 to the last date of submission 15/10/2016

Selection Process :

Candidates Selection will be made on the basis of their performance in written examination  and Stenography test  also for Grade-II post. Process will be goes like this the candidates should perform better in both written as well as in Stenography test  then the selection committee will shortlist those candidates whose performance will be good as of selection committee as say they clear the merit marks.Candidates whose performance will meet the cut off marks for written examination will be allowed for Stenography test other candidates who doesn’t clears the cut off marks will not be called for test.
