Indian Army Physical Fitness Test Details : Indian Army announces the various recruitment drive for the candidates who are willing to join. If you want to join Indian Army, then you need the right qualification and the Physical standards for which an Army officer is meant for.

So if you are an Army aspirant, then you must see the Physical standard for the same. This physical test is based on 100 marks. This includes

  1. 6 Km Run
  2. Pull Ups
  3. Balance
  4. 9 feet Ditch

Marking Scheme of Indian Army

1.6 Km Run excluding Soldier General Duty

Timings Group Marking
5 Min 40 Sec Group 1 60 marks
5 min 41 sec to 6 min to 20 sec Group 2 48 Marks
     

Extra Time for the Hilly Terrain

  1. Running between 5000 Ft to 9000Ft :- Add 30 sec to all timings
  2. Running between 9000 Ft to 12000 Ft :- Add 120 sec to all timings

1.6 Km Run Soldier General Duty

Timings Group Marking
Running Upto 5 Min 40 Sec Group-1 60 Marks
Running from 5 min 41 sec to 6 min Group 2 48 marks
     

 Note: Provisions for Extra Time for 1.6 Km Run in Hilly Terrain

  • Running between 5000 Ft to 9000Ft- Add 30 sec to all timings
  • Running between 9000 Ft to 12000 Ft- Add 120 sec to all timings

(3). Pull Ups.

10 and above Pull Ups 40 marks
9 Pull Ups 33 marks
8 Pull Ups 27 marks
7 Pull Ups 21 marks
6 Pull Ups 16 marks

(4). Balance: Balance should qualify and no marks are awarded

(5). 9 Feet Ditch: should qualify and no marks are awarded

These are some of the aspects where the Indian Army Physical fitness are verified. If you clear all the round, you will be send for further examination. This will soon make you an Indian Army Officer in near recruitment date.
